Hey, Lina,
ReplyDeleteRecently, ICE is a very interesting and popular application of ICT. In particular, customers come first in tourism and hospitality industry, the use of ICE could increase the entertaining so that the company expect to attract increasing number of customers by ICE.
Indeed, my example, National Palace Museum, also use ICE for interacting with visitors. After introducing ICE into Kid Garden, the larger population of children with interestes in the museum, because they enjoy themselves while they are learning in the museum. Moreover, the E-learning as a new project in NPM becomes popular with the public.
However, I think that the establishment of database must be finished before ICE, so that they could share the information by this system.
Hey Lina, your IT seems to me very interesting and well known, because I have a big experience travelling by Emirates airlines and I know ICE system very well. I can say that this ICT is really useful and helpful in the airplanes. This system helps not only keep passengers abreast of the flight, but also helps to keep them in touch with their families and friends. ICE is a very popular system not only in airplanes, but also in different hospitality industries. Moreover, in my opinion it is connected with the whole industry. ICE gives an opportunity to book hotels, taxis, reserve tables in restaurants and provides an ability to see the restaurant's menu, list of possible excursions and the hotel's interior. ICE can be used in restaurants as well, because of its entertainment abilities. For example, while the customer is waiting for his order, the waitress can offer him "ICE" device and with the help of it client can follow the readiness of his order, check his email or watch some entertainment programs. Furthermore, ICE is also connected with the banking systems, because it works by the cashless payment and also can demand the customer's database.
ReplyDeleteHi Kseniya and Coco,
ReplyDeletethank you for your comments girls. Yes lam agree that ICE is very popular and very helpful for all tourism industry and can also be used not only for airlines but also for museum and restaurants. I think like that because ICE provede great choice of entertainment and help to the klints in hospitality industry.
Hi Lina~
ReplyDeleteThe ICE System seems like a very interesting application of ICT strategy. It includes information delivering, communication service and various entertainment ways. In addition, it allows guests to make a reservation to hotel rooms, taxis and other tourism services. But I'm just confused and interested about which kind of technology tool is used to support these services such as booking hotels. For example, in hospitality industry, guests can book a flight on a hotel's website by using the airline Global Distribution System (GDS), which means the GDS provides technology support for flight booking service. So if guests want to book a hotel through Digital Widescreen on the plane, which technology tool is used to support this service?
